Official NJCR form
Author Publishing and Copyright Licence Agreement
Version 1.0, effective 30 August 2026. The fillable PDF is recommended; the Word copy is available for authors who need an editable counterpart.
NJCR Workflow
- During initial submission, the corresponding author reads and accepts the Copyright Notice electronically. This acceptance is recorded with the submission.
- Peer review uses the anonymised manuscript. A signed agreement is not required before review.
- After an editorial decision of Accept Submission, NJCR emails the author and displays the agreement in the accepted submission's dashboard.
- The corresponding author completes one agreement covering all authors, obtains the required signatures or written authority, and uploads the file to the Copyediting record.
- NJCR retains the signed agreement privately with the editorial record.
Copyright Notice accepted at submission
Copyright remains with the authors. If the manuscript is accepted, the authors grant NJCR a non-exclusive licence to publish, preserve, index and distribute the Article and its metadata. The Version of Record is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). The signed agreement provides the complete terms.
How to complete the form
- Enter the full article title and NJCR submission ID exactly as shown in the dashboard.
- List every author and identify the corresponding author.
- Select whether the corresponding author has written authority to sign for all authors or whether each author has signed.
- Use a handwritten or electronic signature. Additional authors may sign an attached counterpart.
