Ownership, management and editorial independence
NJCR is owned and published by the Department of Mass Communication, Edo State University Iyamho. Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, relevance, originality, methodological or argumentative soundness and compliance with journal policy. Payment of an article processing charge, institutional relationship, commercial interest or personal relationship must not determine acceptance.
Identifiers and version of record
The permanent article page on ncommreview.com is the canonical record and links to the published PDF. A DOI is displayed only after it has been formally assigned and registered. Legacy records without a DOI must be cited with their canonical article URL. The site does not claim an electronic ISSN until one is formally assigned.
Preservation and continuity
Published metadata and article files are retained in journal-controlled storage and can be exported for independent backup and restoration. The canonical article page and PDF remain the version of record. Participation in LOCKSS, CLOCKSS or the PKP Preservation Network is not claimed unless enrolment has been formally completed and verified.
Discovery services
NJCR exposes article-level metadata for scholarly discovery through HTML citation tags, Schema.org structured data, a sitemap and an OAI-PMH 2.0 endpoint. Metadata includes title, authors, abstract, keywords, issue, volume, pages, ISSN, licence and full-text location. DOI, ORCID, affiliation and exact publication date are added only where verified.
Advertising and revenue
NJCR does not accept paid advertising on its website. The journal states that article processing charges are its source of publishing revenue. Financial considerations are kept separate from editorial assessment and peer review.
